Role Overview

The Field Communications & Event Officer will support the project’s communication and visibility objectives through on-ground coordination, event coverage, and media documentation. This is a part-time role, requiring flexibility and availability during scheduled campaign events, seminars, and community engagements. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and consistency of branding materials and capturing key moments from field activities, in alignment with the project’s approved communication and visibility plan.

Key Responsibilities

Branding & Visibility Support

  • Assist in the implementation of approved branding and visibility plans during events.
  • Ensure all project-branded materials (banners, backdrops, brochures, giveaways, and merchandise) are correctly placed and maintained as per guidelines.
  • Support the circulation and display of information, education, and communication (IEC) materials at public engagement points.

Media Documentation & Coverage

  • Capture professional-quality visuals (photos and short video clips) from project events, reflecting diverse participants and inclusive engagement.
  • Provide on-ground support to the media and documentation team for compiling event highlights and coverage summaries.
  • Ensure timely submission of all visuals and field documentation through designated digital channels.
  • Experience and ability to report
  • Support local media engagement during events, when guided by the Communications Coordinator.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain organized event documentation, including photo logs and basic event details for project records.
  • Report to the Communications Coordinator on event progress, branding placement, and media collection.
  • Support the compilation of inputs for quarterly visibility and media coverage reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Marketing or a related field. Local journalists are also encouraged to apply.
  • 2–3 years of experience in event coverage, media management or journalism, preferably within donor-funded programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle media equipment, including smartphones, mobile video tools (such as gimbals and microphones), and DSLR cameras.
  • Strong understanding of event flow, branding visibility, and on-ground coordination.
  • Proficiency in Urdu and Punjabi, with the ability to comprehend and follow instructions in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to travel within assigned regions when required and work under short notice during campaign periods.
  • Must possess a reliable smartphone with 4G connectivity and access to stable internet for communication and content submission.
  • Network or contacts in local media will be beneficial.
